Back to "Abby-normal" soon! and early birthday present

Well, life on my farm is not kinda laid back at the moment, far from it!! We are working really hard on what was supposed to be a simple straight line sorta playground. That all ended when my brother's overactive imagination kicked in! The deal with my baby brother is that he has the skills to add to the imagination, and so we now have a pirate ship in our backyard, equipped with a ship's wheel, telescope, anchor that raises and lowers. The bow of our ship, which Uncle Paul named Sparrow Spirit, can hold 5 small bodies and we have a crows nest and a rope walkway thing up to the crow's nest and we are not done yet! I think he dreams about it at night, LOL. Here is Daddy helping Uncle Paul, thank goodness for Daddy's muscles, Marmee 's muscles were really tired that night!
The most awesome thing happened the other day, it was so Kentucky! I was going out to my pitifully overgrown garden,( who wants to weed in 102 degrees anyway?) and caught a turkey hen having lunch with her two little chicks. Here they are, aren't they darling? I would share anytime to see that.
Ashley got me the most wonderful birthday present and it has arrived!! I couldn't care less that it is a week or so early, I am in love! This is a merino blend from Coppermoose called Mountain magic and it is so very magical! I can not wait to get my hands on this most awesome, gorgeous, beckoning stuff. Doesn't my daughter love me???
