We had a little cold snap the other day and it spurred me right into fall cooking mode! I set about my morning making breakfast (cheese onion biscuits) and while I was using the oven, I decided to bake bread and I already had soup on for lunch. This is a pretty typical day for me, but as I had everything gathered up in one spot, it occured to me that you all might wonder sometimes how it goes in this household...so here is a picture of what was going on. The bread is rising, just so you know...lol...and I made veggie beef soup from day old brisket and veggies, man, was it yummy.
On another note, I have gotten a chance to spin some of my birthday fiber, and I am in love!
This color is almost electric, it is called mountain magic, and I totally believe it.

I had a crazy idea that I brought up to a spinning friend of mine yesterday, and she gave the go ahead, so I am going to start a brand new fiber on a different wheel in a different room of my house. Can you see where this is going? LOL I am actually going to work on fiber for 2 different projects at the same time, while I am in fact knitting on 2 different projects!! Can you believe it?? Wow, what a stretch for me!
We got an opportunity to go on our first field trip this year. We went on Thursday and h

This is a picture of our club on the front porch of the Duncan Cultural Center in Greenville, Ky about an hour away from our house. It was built in 1912 by William Duncan and the wood work was totally awesome. The floors are inlaid and gorgeous! There have been countless antiques donated to the center, and there just happened to be a walking wheel donated that was in the baseme

We went from the Duncan Center to Paradise Park, which has a few building they have brought in from the early 1900s. Here is an old log cabin that we thought was really cool! Can you believe how big the kids are getting?
Here is another cute shot Ashley got while we were there. The old jail cell from Central City is there and the kids took advantage of it! Don't I have the cutest kids??
