Ashley took this picture when I got up to get a drink last night. Here is my little 7 month old chihuahua, Bisou, being the faithful spinning dog that he is. I decided to spin camel in the playroom and I set up my Lendrum double treadle in there. Good grief, I have not spun anything with a short staple length in a really long time, and the camel down I am spinning is a very short staple length. I think it is about an inch. Can you all say, very long time?LOL I feel like a beginner here, and it has been about 12 years!! Isn't that right Patricia? Anyway, close to that and I have spun Merino and Merino blends for a really long time now. Let's see, Merino blends, at 5-6 inches or Camel at 1 inch....yes, dear friends, my little feeties are pedaling to beat the band! Not really, but it is so funny to go from the Lendrum to the Reeves. Like going from a moped to an SUV. LOL
Well, today was our homeschool co-op. We are getting our morning routine down pretty good now, and I am proud of the kids. They all have their own backpack and are responsible for their own music book, prechemistry book and knitting. We got some shots of the really cool kids in our knitting class. We have 4 boys and 4 girls. They all pretty much have the knit stitch down (except Levi...poor guy) and we are moving on to the purl stitch next week. I am going to have to take some Tylenol before I try to teach Levi. ;) We all get along really well in our class and we have a good time. Lots and lots of talking occurs here.....I am sure you can imagine!!
They are all doing so well, I anticipated a whole class full of "Levi's" and we only have one, the genuine article. LOL He would probably be just fine, except that he gets so caught up with what is being said that he looks up from his knitting at crucial times, really crucial times, like when he is pulling a stitch off or through...sheesh, and then he doesn't have the foggiest idea what is going on. This morning, he handed me his knitting to be corrected at least 10 times, probably more, I just don't count. I did tell him to focus about 1o times, any correlation, I wonder? lol I asked him if he would like to lay down his knitting and try again, maybe, say in a year?, but no, he wants to learn. I ask this twice and am convinced that he is not going to let me off the hook...inward groan....and proceed to tell him he will have to practice every day. He walks away with a smile on his face and I am still sitting here wondering what I have just done to my peace of mind..........I will keep you updated, wink!

HI! I feel Levis pain! I can only knit stitch, I would have to drop out when the pearl class came around!!! I also cannot correct my mistakes-my poor mother! I just figure if I use fuzzy colorful yarn to make a scarf, nobody will see the holes!!! I love your blog and look forward to new postings!
Love ya!! Cousin Shirley
