Busy week!!

This last week, as well as other every week of my life (LOL), has been busy. Getting used to a new schedule is always something interesting in the Thornton household, but we have added two new things to the mix, not just one....this means uncharted territory....watch out! Now that we have homeschool co-op on Tuesdays and adding bowling in Bowling Green (I know a few of you will get a kick out of that one) it seems like my plate is full to overflowing.
The great part of being busy is having those nanoseconds when you realize you aren't....for example, I had a chance to sit down and grab my knitting on Friday and when I did, the kids went out to be pirates, go figure...lol (it's pirates everything these days, what with a real pirate ship in the backyard!) In the course of playing, said pirates became thirsty and sent in the wee one for drinks. Here is what that clever little ship's mate came up with for a drink tray!
Who would ever think of keeping the styrofoam from the new dvd player for just such a reason?
Certainly not her mother, who had thrown it away....just not far enough, lol.
Here is a shot from our Thursday trip to Nashville, to return some shoes. This is for Paul, it is taken in the Rainforest Cafe. A very kind young lady had pity on us and took this shot. Usually we have one or more of us missing from the photo, but this time we got all 7 of us, cool, huh?

I got a chance to do some spinning over the weekend. Greg was gracious enough to watch the kids and do outside stuff and let Ashley and I bask in the greatness of Tiger. I mean, come on, did any of you guys see what great shots he made? I am so happy he got the chance to be the first one to win the FedEx cup, the only disappointment, if you could even call it that, was the fact that he didn't kiss it, and they had been advertising all over the golf channel that it had never been kissed. But, all in all, we had a wonderful time cheering Tiger on, and I am so happy Steve Stricker made it to second in the cup standings also, way to go Steve!! I will admit it got a little loud at times while we were watching this weekend. I had to laugh to myself, and I mentioned to Ashley that my grandparents would be laughing at me if they could have heard me talking to the tv, I remember them doing that with golf too, lol.

Anyway, Bisou enjoyed the spinning time, and here is proof! He has such a perfect name, I can not help but kiss him, he is so cute!!

I also just have to post the picture of what my dear friend Patricia and her precious mother gave me for my birthday. I got the package in the mail Saturday and I opened it to find these lovely handmade (by Patricia herself) boxes. Aren't they something? The little item in the middle is a magnetic bookmark. Thank you both.

Well, that is a bit about last week, heading into this week is looking just about the same. Well, we don't have a trip to Nashville, but we did join the Junior Historical Society of Kentucky and we have a field trip on Thursday to Powderly, Kentucky. We are learning about an old mining town, and I can't wait, sounds like fun, huh? Wish you were here to go with us! We might even bring our drink tray....no, probably not, lol.
