Here is the cutest little thing that happened to me on Thursday. My youngest, Mallory, 8 years old, was perusing the antiques in one of the buildings we were going through and her eyes happened to alight upon an old typewriter. She turned to me and asked me if she could type www.mylittlepony.com on it....Isn't that the cutest thing?
That began a lesson on typewriters and typing pools as a way of life for many young girls long, long ago.
The best part was the hands-on type of museum we were in allowed us to see if the typewriter actually worked. Lo, and behold....the ribbon still had ink! Wonder of wonders....I helped them all type their names on a piece of paper out of my planner and they thought that was the most awesome thing!!
I love the way homeschooling works!! What I love the most is that our way of life is learning, it is not sectioned off into a specific time of day or certain days of the week. Every part of our life is a learning opportunity. Check out Ashley's blog, she has the most darling little explanation of how we school.
Speaking of Ashley...she is our chief photographer and she does the most awesome job of capturing our life. I just have to show you her expertise. Here is a shot of a few of the desks that were behind us when we were typing on the typewriter, she saw it for the photo opportunity that it was.

What a neat learning experience!!!!! You and your children are so blessed. I forgot to mention in the previous posts' comment.......when you having me over for lunch? Man that food looks and sounds yummy.
